Chuck Easton was born and raised in Bremerton, Washington in the United States. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from National University in San Diego, California in 1986. Chuck worked for nine years in the computer field all over the State of California, eventually settling in San Francisco in 1990.

After nine years in the computer industry Chuck decided to make a career change and applied to the San Francisco Police Department in 1995. He entered the Police Academy in April of 1995 and began his career as a Police Officer after six months of training. Chuck achieved numerous awards and citations while with the SFPD including a Meritorious Conduct Award, a Police commission Accommodation for bravery under fire, and a Field Training Officer certification. After spending five years with the SFPD working as a patrol officer and field training officer, Chuck decided to immigrate to Canada with his family in May of 2000.

Chuck earned his LL.B from the University of Calgary in 2004. Upon completing his articles with Alberta Justice, Chuck was called to the bar in July of 2005. Chuck spent two years working as a Crown Prosecutor with Alberta Justice Youth Division in Calgary before deciding to change the focus of his practice to Family Law. Chuck has experience in all levels of Court including Provincial Court, Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal. Chuck brings his experience as a police officer into his practice of Family Law. His primary approach towards the practice of Family Law is to de-escalate tense situations and assist his clients in resolving their disputes.

Chuck joined Foster LLP in May of 2011.
