Lynsey was born in Yorkshire, England . Lynsey has worked in England as a defence lawyer, a Legal Advisor to the Magistrates Court and as a Crown Prosecutor. She emigrated to Calgary in 2005.

Prior to joining Foster LLP, Lynsey worked in the area of Family Law as Director’s Counsel for the Alberta Government predominantly in the area of Child Protection.

Lynsey has over 10 years of extensive trial and appellate experience, appearing before the Provincial Court, Court of Queens Bench and Court of Appeal; as well as experience with Hague applications. Lynsey has a particular interest in custody disputes including mobility, Hague applications (international child abduction) and child welfare involvement.

Lynsey is licensed to practice law in both Alberta and England and Wales.

Lynsey also teaches the Parenting after Separation and Parenting After Separation High Conflict courses.
