Foster LLP is proud to announce that Jennifer Shaften has been designated Queen’s Counsel in accordance with Letters Patent issued March 31, 2020.
This honour recognizes her achievements and standing in the legal community and her commitment to the most vulnerable members of society. This is demonstrated by her volunteer work with Father Lacombe Care Centre and Providence Care Centre since 1997, and her representation and advocacy for children.
Jennifer is the Co-Chair of the Children and Youth Alberta South Section of the CBA, a member of the National Children and Youth Section of the CBA, and the Chair of the Professional Development Committee of that Section.
She is a trained mediator, arbitrator, parenting coordinator and collaborative lawyer.
Jennifer uses all those skills to assist families in meeting the needs and interests of their children.
During the current difficult times, she is committed to assisting families as they navigate novel issues in parenting.
