Kiran Hallan

Articling Student

Kiran was born and raised in Calgary. Prior to attending law school, Kiran graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went to law school in Saskatoon and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan.

During law school, Kiran was one out of ten students accepted into an experiential learning program and was placed at a top criminal defence firm in Saskatoon where she had the opportunity to work on files and appear in court. She was also a member of Pro Bono Students Canada and volunteered to teach students at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine the importance and essentials of dispute resolution. Kiran spent her summers during law school working as a Judicial Clerk at the Alberta Court of Justice where she learnt effective advocacy skills.

Kiran’s experience has allowed her to hone her resilience and ability to work hard. She is eager to apply her skills to the various areas of family law during her article.

During her spare time Kiran likes to attend spin class, try new desserts, travel and spend time with her family and dog Leo.

Kiran is also fluent in Punjabi and is comfortable communicating with clients in Punjabi.
